Our products are developed and manufactured by Nippon Steel Corporation("NSC").
ZAM®-EX is an export brand for NSC's high corrosion resistant coated steel ZAM® and SuperDyma®.
NSC have pioneered the market of corrosion resistance with approximately 15 million tons of ZAM® and
SuperDyma® supplied to customers around the world for over 20 years.
NSC now offer new brand ZAM®-EX and NSC will connue to lead the high corrosion resistant coated steel
market. NSC also supply ZAM® and SuperDyma® if customers prefer. Al- and Mg-added (Al-, Mg- and Si-added)
coated steel sheets are available around the world, including NSC’s, and NSC corrosion resistance depends on
the content of these additives.
ZAM®-EX conforms to JIS G 3323 and has Al and Mg contents that conform to JIS G 3323; therefore, it exhibits
excellent corrosion resistance.

Because the substrate is exposed by ZAM-EX cutting, red rust occurs in the initial stage. However, when the plating components around the cutting section are released, sacrificial oxidation results in the creation of a dense protective film composed of Zn(OH)2, ZnCl2·4Zn(OH)2, and Mg(OH)2. This film covers the cutting section within a few months. The low conductivity nature of the protective film inhibits corrosion on the cutting section. Additionally, the formation of said protective film.
